January 15, 2000 Western Connecticut women upset Southern Maine In the battle for first place in Little East Conference women’s basketball, Western Connecticut State (11-2, 5-0) beat Southern Maine (11-2, 3-2) by 56-51 Saturday at the O’Neill Center.
August 31, 1999 Women's Final Four returns to Danbury Due in part to the positive impact visiting student/athletes had on Western's initial venture last March, the school and the city of Danbury will play host to the women's Division III championships for two more years.
